We are your local charitable care organisation who have been providing quality aged care on the Redcliffe Peninsula since 1983. Making the decision to move from your own home into your new aged care home is not an easy one and there are many considerations. It is more than choosing a room, it is choosing the right care community for you. BallyCara is an integrated care community with open parklands, cafe and community gardens all accessible as part of your residence. We commit to making the process as simple as possible and walking alongside you on this journey. We will welcome you with open arms, embrace your individuality and passions and support you to enhance your strengths and abilities to prosper your happiness. Short term respite is also available on a pre-planned basis.

Respite Service Provider Fees & Agreement

If you are approved for respite care in an aged care home by an ACAT, the Australian Government will subsidise your costs and pay the Aged Care Home directly. You will also be expected to contribute to the cost of your care. Respite fees are not the same as those for permanent residents in an aged care home. Your aged care provider cannot ask you to pay a means-tested care fee or an accommodation payment. Your provider may ask you to pay up to four types of fees. These must be recorded in your Resident Agreement. Draft Resident Agreement is attached

Draft or Sample Resident's Agreement is not provided by the Service Provider. They will share it with you at the time of finalising the agreement.

Aged care home will be in contact with you to finalise your agreement after the booking is accepted by them through myRespiteAccom platform and prior to your check-in day
